Game 5 could potentially be the final game of the Stanley Cup Final, in fact, we're banking on it in our NHL same-game parlay. Check out our SGP picks, using the latest NHL odds from our best sports betting apps.

The Vegas Golden Knights have an opportunity to close out the Stanley Cup Final, cement the first championship in franchise history, and do so on home ice.

But eliminating the Florida Panthers is easier said than done. The Cardiac Cats fought back from a 3-1 series deficit against the Boston Bruins in the first round of the playoffs. Can they do it again?

Much like in our Panthers vs. Golden Knights Game 5 picks, we're banking on a celebration in Vegas on Tuesday night. Here's how we can take advantage, with our same-game parlay (odds via bet365).

Tuesday's NHL S GP picks for Game 5

Golden Knights -1.5 goals +145
Panthers Under 2.5 goals -120

NHL SGP predictions: Panthers vs. Golden Knights Game 5

Goals have not been tough to come by for the Golden Knights this series. They've scored 17 in the four-game series and made Panthers goalie Sergei Bobrovsky look like a mere mortal. Bobrovsky's 3.74 GAA this series and .875 save percentage pales in comparison to his play in preceding series.

On the flip side, the Panthers have had trouble solving Golden Knights netminder Adin Hill. They've put just nine goals past him this series. Hill's 2.21 GA A and .925 save percentage have put doubt in the minds of the Panthers' shooters.

But what really cements this spread pick is the belief that the Golden Knights will close things out in Game 5. Should Vegas enter the final period with at least a one-goal lead, Florida will have to resort to desperate measures and leave its net empty earlier than usual for a last gasp with the man advantage. The potential for one or even multiple empty-net goals gives us confidence in this puckline pick.

We've touched on the Panthers' offensive struggles this series. The only time the Panthers have hit the Over on 2.5 goals was in Game 3, when they pulled their goalie and tied the game at 2-2 with two minutes remaining and won it in overtime.

But now Florida is dealing with signific ant injuries to many of the team's offensive catalysts. Matthew Tkachuk has been favoring his shoulder since a thunderous hit from Jack Eichel in Game 3. Fellow forwards Aleksander Barkov and Anthony Duclair are suspected to be dealing with injuries as well.

Florida's scoring has gone dry at the wrong time.

Vegas defensemen have been prolific at blocking shots all series. They combined to block 12 shots in Game 1, 15 in Game 2, 17 in Game 3, and 14 in Game 4.

Here are Nicolas Hague's totals throughout the Cup Final:

Game Blocked shots
Game 1 1
Game 2 4
Game 3 2
Game 4 2

The 6-foot-6 defenseman has hit the Over on 1.5 blocked shots in each of the last three games. With the desperate Panthers expected to send more pucks at the net and the equally desperate Golden Knights eager to end the series, expect Hague and his teammates to continue sacrificing their bodies for the right to hoist the Stanley Cup.

Golden Knights captain Mark Stone has recorded a point in each game of this series and his odds to do so in Game 4 carries heavy vig as a result. But that makes it an ideal prop to include in our parlay.

Stone has six points and trails only Jonathan Marchessault (seven) for the team lead in the Cup Final. He has a legitimate argument for the Conn Smythe Trophy and can put his stamp on that with another strong performance in Game 5.

Stone leads all Vegas forwards in ice time this series, aver aging nearly 20 minutes per game. He also plays a pivotal role on the team's top power-play unit.

If Vegas is to clinch the championship on Tuesday night, expect Stone to have a hand in the action.

Combined odds: +525
