Best Same-Game Parlay for Heat vs Nuggets NBA Finals Game 5 (Kevin Love Makes an Impact From Deep)

The 2022-23 NBA Playoffs continue on Monday night with Game 5 of the NBA Finals between the'Miami Heat'and Denver Nuggets at 8:30 p.m. ET on ABC. There are a ton of ways to get in on the betting action, including making your own same-game parlay on FanDuel Sportsbook.

A same-game parlay is exactly what it sounds like — It involves stringing bets from one game together to create a parlay. Of course, all legs must cash for the parlay to be deemed a winning ticket. With that in mind, here's a look at my best same-game parlay for the Heat-Nuggets matchup.

One positive aspect of this series for the Heat so far is that Kevin Love's struggles from beyond the arc in the regular season did not follow him into the postseason. He has shined in his limited role off the bench, shooting 43.8% from three-point range (7-of-16) in three NBA Finals games. The veteran pro has tallied a t least two made 3-pointers in each of those contests and has a great chance to do so again in Game 5. The Heat are expected to be forced to play from behind, so don't be surprised if Love jacks up 5+ attempts from long range as a way to help his team stay alive.

This was a leg given out in The Duel's same-game parlay for Game 4 and it cashed with relative ease despite being listed with +230 odds. Jamal Murray finished with 12 assists, which makes it interesting to see this line only drop a bit in terms of odds ahead of Monday night. Murray has tallied at least 10 assists in each of the first four games of this series as the Nuggets' reliance on the pick-and-roll offense has led to numerous opportunities to dish the ball out. Not only that, but the Heat have been content to let Murray do his thing as they look to shut down Nikola Jokic. Expect Murray to keep taking advantage.

The early defense has been stellar for both teams in this series as less than 54 total points have been scored in the first quarter of all four games so far. In fact, no more than 49 total points have been scored in the first quarter and the average total points scored in the first quarter sits at 44.5. Miami is looking to stave off elimination and Denver is aiming to hoist the Larry O'Brien Trophy, so expecting some nervousness after the opening tip is far from unrealistic. Back a slow start as each team feels out what the other's strategy is going to be.
