San Diego Padres vs. Colorado Rockies Prediction, Preview, and Odds – 6-10-2023

The San Diego Padres (29-33, 31-31 RL, 20-41-1 O/U) collide with the Colorado Rockies (26-38, 30-34 RL, 27-36-1 O/U) as the division rivals continue a three-game series on Saturday evening. The Padres will give the nod to Ryan Weathers. The Rockies will respond with Kyle Freeland. The season series is 2-2.

Ryan Weathers will make his 10th appearance of the season. Weathers was clobbered last time out, squandering five runs (four earned) in only 1.2 innings against the Cubs, and was charged with the loss. The young left-hander has not been effective, conceding at least four runs in three of his last four outings, and has a 5.09 ERA and a 1.53 WHIP accompanied by a 1-4 record in 35.1 innings pitched. Weathers has struggled against the Rockies, allowing 14 runs in 13 career innings.

San Diego has not been able to live up to expectations this season. They have not been able to record any extended winning streaks. The Padres won two of four home clashes against the Cubs last weekend and posted one victory in two encounters against the Mariners this week. The squad is 5-5 in their last ten games.

Fernando Tatis Jr. is swinging a hot bat, delivering two homers along with 10 RBIs and a 1 OPS this month. The 24-year-old star has 11 big flies with 29 RBIs and a . 797 OPS on the year. Tatis Jr. did not play against the Rockies in April and clubbed four homers with eight RBIs against them last season. Xander Bogaerts is questionable.

The Padres are scoring an average of 4.16 runs per game, ranking them 24th. The pitching staff has recorded a 3.76 team ERA, good for sixth.
