Here's a breakdown of why I like each bet.
1. Matthew Tkachuk – Shots on Goal: Over 3.5 (-108)
Matthew Tkachuk was one of the few bright spots for the Pant hers in their Game 2 blowout loss, scoring once on four shots. The veteran forward has done a good job at generating offensive opportunities this postseason, averaging 3.6 shots over his last seven outings. He also hit the Over on this prop four times over that stretch. With Florida's back against the wall, I see Tkachuk stepping up by making good on this prop again. It helps that he'll be motivated by the home crowd at FLA Live Arena, where he's finished with four-plus shots on goal in five of his last nine appearances.
2. Jonathan Marchessault – Any Time Goal Scorer (+195)
It's tough to find a player on the planet who's hotter than Jonathan Marchessault at the mo ment. The Golden Knights' sniper has been electric, scoring 10 goals in his last nine games, which includes finding the back of the twine thrice in this series thus far. Marchessault has also scored in three consecutive games, showing no signs of slowing down any time soon. He's clearly been motivated to do some damage against his former team after they failed to protect him in the 2017-18 expansion draft. With how well he's been playing, having Marchessault available at +195 odds for this prop is a steal.
3. Chandler Stephenson – Record 1+ Assist (+158)
Another steal of a bet is taking Chandler Stephenson to record at least one assist at +158 odds. The Vegas center has done well at setting up his teammates in this series, recording three assists through Games 1 and 2. His solid playmaking performance now gives Stephenson six assists in his last eight encounters with the Panthers. Considering how the Golden Knights have racked up 12 goals through the first two matchups of this series, there's no reason to doubt that Stephenson won't be a part of at least one goal tonight.
