Florida Panthers vs. Vegas Golden Knights Prediction, Preview, and Odds – 6-3-2023

The Stanley Cup Final is set and the Florida Panthers face the Vegas Golden Knights in a matchup that guarantees a first title in franchise history. The Panthers were the final team to make the playoffs in the Eastern Conference but have gotten hot at the right time to put together a remarkable run. The Golden Knights finished the season with the best record in the Western Conference and have cruised through the playoffs to reach the Final for the second time in five years. Both teams look to start out this series strong and take Game One and this series looks to be a great one as a result.

The Panthers have put together a Cinderella run with their offense stepping up and scoring 50 goals. Matthew Tkachuk, Aleksander Barkov, and Carter Verheghe have scored 19 goals and 31 assists to carry the top two lines but the rest of the offense has also been great. Sam Bennett, Sam Reinhart, and Anthony Duclair have combined for 14 goals and 17 assists while defenseman Brandon Montour has added six goals and three assists from the point to help open up the offense.

The offense has been great but the defense has carried the Panthers, allowing only 2.68 goals per game in the playoffs including only six goals in their sweep in the recent series. Gustav Forsling and Aaron Ekblad have led the top pairing while Brandon Montour, Radko Gudas, and  Josh Mahura have added depth to the unit, creating turnovers in the defensive zone and limiting shots on the net. In addition, goaltender Sergei Bobrovsky has been remarkable in the playoff with a .935 save percentage and a 2.21 goals-against average on 504 shots with 14.5 goals saved above average.
