Carolina Hurricanes vs. Florida Panthers Prediction, Preview, and Odds – 5-22-2023

The Carolina Hurricanes face the Florida Panthers in Game Three of the Eastern Conference Final. The Hurricanes battled in the first two games but lost them both in overtime and are down two games as they head on the road. The Panthers stole both Game One and Game Two in overtime and with a 2-0 series lead, look to close out things at home. The Hurricanes look to come back in the series while the Panthers hope to take a commanding 3-0 series lead and Game Three should be a good one.

The Hurricanes are on the ropes in this series with their offense letting them down, scoring only three goals in the first two games. Seth Jarvis, Sebastian Aho, and Stefan Noesen have scored two goals and four assists but the rest of the offense has struggled. The hope is that Brent Burns and Brady Skjei can step up as they added 36 goals and 63 assists from the point this season but only have one assist in this series thus far.

The offense has struggled but the defense has stepped up to keep the games close, allowing only five goals in the series. Brent Burns and Jaccob Slavin have led the top pairing while Brady Skjei, Brett Pesce, and Shayne Gostisbehere have added depth to the unit, creating turnovers in the defensive zone and limiting shots on the net. In addition, goaltender Frederik Andersen had a great Game One, saving 57 of the 60 shots he faced, and looks to return to the starting net aft er taking Game Two off.
