Panthers Win (+120)
Neither team had a very tumultuous second round. They both took their respective series 4-1 and are absolutely rolling. But based on the opponents the Panthers and Hurricanes have faced, what Florida has done to get to this point is arguably more impressive. For the Panthers, the Islanders were not exactly the toughest opponent and the Devils were predominantly a young, inexperienced team. It is a bit of a different story for the Panthers who beat deep, experienced, perennial contenders.
In a series that feels like an unstoppable force vs an immovable object, the Panthers have shown more. Of course that is subjective. Obviously the Hurricanes have played fantastic, sound hockey. But Florida has faced more adversity against better teams and enters this game 6-1 on the road this postseason. Maybe Carolina will prove otherwise this series. But until or unless they do, this Panthers team looks too good to fade.
