The Seattle Mariners and Detroit TIgers face off on Tuesday in an MLB showdown at Comerica Park.
The Mariners sit with a 70-58 record overall and they are coming off a series against the Cleveland Guardians where they were able to win two of the three games. On Sunday the pitching was strong and that led to the 4-0 victory. The Mariners are giving up 3.81 runs per game which is 5th in the league. Julio Rodriguez is having a big season hitting 21 home runs and driving in 65 RBIs.
On the other side of this matchup is the Tigers who sit with a 50-78 record overall but they have won two games in a row. Over the last two games against the Texas Rangers, they scored 20 runs and that was enough to secure the two wins. The Tigers offense overall has struggled and they are averaging only 3.32 runs per game which is last in baseball. Javier Baez has hit 11 home runs and driven in 47 RBIs. ‘
