Game 7 Prediction

Even though the Kraken don’t look all that good through a statistical lens, Seattle’s playing playoff hockey and getting the job done. It’s not pretty, but it works, and if their depth can come through one more time, the game should be competitive enough. Offense can come from anywhere, as eight different skaters have scored two or more goals in the series for the Kraken, and that hasn’t been easy to manage for head coach Pete DeBoer and the Stars defense who are used to playing against weaker teams that don't score as many goals. Dallas also hasn't been able to hold an edge in shot attempts in the series.

As far as goaltending goes, Philipp Grubauer isn’t going to steal a game for the Kraken, or at least he isn’t likely to do so, but he’s been up to the task for the most part, while Jake Oettinger has been pulled twice and hasn’t had a good game in the series yet. Oettinger steal a game, but current form matters, and the Kraken have shown that they can get to him. Dallas can still win the game if Oettinger isn’t at his best, but it’ll be tough for them to live up to their pregame odds if that’s the case.
