Los Angeles rallied to beat Cleveland in the series opener, ending a ten-game losing streak at Progressive Field. It was LA's 12th comeback win this year and broke Cleveland's 13-0 winning streak in games it led after eight innings.

Sandoval takes the mound for Los Angeles tomorrow. The southpaw has won two of his last three starts, beating Oakland and St. Louis in consecutive appearances. In his last outing, he surrendered four runs on seven hits in 6.1 frames versus Houston. Sandoval has a 26:15 K:BB ratio in 2023.
