Philadelphia Phillies (18-19) vs. Colorado Rockies (16-22)

The MLB betting action goes on Saturday, May 13, with the Philadelphia Phillies facing off against the Colorado Rockies in the National League showdown at Coors Field in Denver, Colorado, and the first pitch is set for 8:10 PM ET.

Philadelphia and Colorado continue a three-game series, and Friday’s opener has been excluded from the analysis. The Phillies are listed as -161 moneyline favorites for Saturday’s middle contest. The Rockies are +148 home dogs, and the totals sit at 12.0 runs.

The 18-19 Philadelphia Phillies entered Friday’s clash at Coors Field searching for their fourth consecutive victory. After stopping a six-game losing streak with a 6-1 home win to the Boston Red Sox this past Sunday, the Phillies swept a two-game home set against the Toronto Blue Jays (2-1 in ten innings and 8-4).

Philadelphia is tallying 4.32 runs per game (18th in the majors) on a .265/.323/.426 triple-slash (.247/.320/.405 league average). Over the last seven days and 134 at-bats, the Phillies are slashing .261/.333/.403 with four home runs and seven doubles. Bryce Harper and Trea Turner have gone 5-for-17 apiece in that span, and Harper is rocking a 142 OPS+ through seven games since returning from Tommy John surgery.

Ranger Suarez is projected to take the mound Saturday in Colorado and make his season debut after recovering from a left elbow strain. In his final rehab appearance in triple-A, Suarez yielded one earned run on four hits across five innings of work.

“It went well,” Suárez said. “I felt healthy. I threw all of my pitches, my arm felt good. I’m very excited to be here. Excited to help the team.”

Last year, Suarez went 10-7 with a solid 3.65 ERA, 1.33 WHIP, and 129/58 K/BB ratio in 29 starts (155.1 innings pitched). The 27-year-old left-hander is 1-0 with a 2.40 ERA in a couple of career starts and a relief appearance against the Rockies.
