Gerrit Cole (NYY) over 6.5 Strikeouts (-137)
Here we are again, attacking a pitcher that just faced off against an opponent for the second time already. We cashed in on Zac Gallen 7+ strikeouts on Monday night against the Miami Marlins. That was Gallen’s second time around facing his former team this season but that didn’t stop him. Cole will be facing the Tampa Bay Rays again after struggling against them in his last start — but that was on the road. Since putting on the Yankee pinstripes, Cole has been much better at home, this season in particular. In 5 home starts, he has a below 1.00 ERA and is averaging 1.24 strikeouts per inning. He’s eclipsed 7 strikeouts in 4 of 5 starts and has gone plenty deep into those games. We should see the same today. This will be the Yankees’ 8th straight game and they don’t have a day off until May 22nd!
