The Oakland Athletics and New York Yankees wrap up their three-game series with a matinee battle on Wednesday afternoon. Both teams are near the bottom of their respective divisions but while the Yankees have a winning record, the A's have one of the worst marks in baseball. The pitching matchup on Wednesday will feature Oakland lefty Kyle Muller (1-2, 6.62) taking on Yankees' right-hander Jhony Brito (2-3, 6.08). The first pitch is scheduled for 12:35 PM EST.

The Oakland A's continue their series with the New York Yankees as the team remains in flux as far as the team's future home is concerned. Poor home attendance and a sparse budget has led the A's to trade away much of the team's core players from the past several years and left the A's with a roster full of aging veterans and inexperienced youngsters. On Monday, the A's dropped the series opener 7-2 to the Yankees to fall to a season-worst 20 games under .500. On Tuesday night, the A's were doubled up 10-5 by the Yankees. Second baseman Jordan Diaz had a breakout game with three home runs in the loss to the Bombers.
