Vegas Golden Knights vs. Edmonton Oilers Prediction, Preview, and Odds – 5-10-2023

The Vegas Golden Knights face the Edmonton Oilers in Game Four of the Second Round with the series going back-and-forth thus far. The Golden Knights won Game One and with a decisive Game Three win, they took a 2-1 series lead. The Oilers stumbled in Game Three, losing 5-1, and are suddenly in a series hole on their home ice. The Golden Knights look to take a commanding 3-1 series lead while the Oilers hope to even up the series and Game Four should be a great one as a result.

The Golden Knights have taken control of this series with their offenses stepping and scoring 12 goals including five in the recent win. Jack Eichel, Ivan Barbashev, and Mark Stone have scored six goals and five assists to lead the top two lines but the entire offense has stepped up. Jonathan Marchessault, Chandler Stephenson, and Nicolas Roy have combined for four goals and two assists while defenseman Zach Whitecloud has added a goal and two assists from the point to open up the offense.

The offense has been great but the defense has struggled, allowing 10 goals. Alex Pietrangelo, Shea Theodore, and Brayden McNabb have led the top two pairings but the rest of the unit has struggled, allowing the Oilers to create scoring chances with ease. Additionally, goaltender Laurent Brossoit was injured in Game Three and the Golden Knights hope backup Adin Hill can step up after saving 28 shots in the recent game.
