NHL Player Props & Best Bets – Schedule, Picks for Tuesday's Stanley Cup Playoffs Action
NHL Player Props & Best Bets – Schedule, Picks for Tuesday's Stanley Cup Playoffs Actioniv class=”bodyContent col-lg-9 mb-3″>

A pair of Game 4 matchups headline the NHL action on Tuesday. The New Jersey Devils host the Carolina Hurricanes in the early bout, and the Dallas Stars visit the Seattle Kraken in the nightcap. Sportsbook Review betting analyst Neil Parker shares his top NHL picks for the slate based on the NHL odds across our best live betting sites.

Carolina held New Jersey to just two goals through the first two games of the series, but after the Devils found the back of the net eight times in Game 3, there's uncertainty surrounding who will be the Hurricanes goalie for Game 4.

Canes netminder Antti Raanta has been nursing an illness, and Frederik Andersen and Pyotr Kochetkov combined to save just 26 of 34 shots Sunday. The three-ring circus in the Carolina crease can only have one ringmaster, and I'm definitely interested to see who head coach Rod Brind'Amour turns to Tuesday.& nbsp;

The Kraken depth has been on full display throughout the postseason, and Seattle is now just two wins away from advancing to the Western Conference Finals. On the flip side, the status of Dallas No. 1 defenseman Miro Heiskanen is uncertain after taking a puck to the face during Game 3.

It would be a huge blow to the Stars if Heiskanen misses Game 4, and there's potential we won't know his status until the pregame warmup.

Here are our NHL best bets for Tuesday (odds via DraftKings and BetMGM; pick confidence based on a 1-to-5-star scale).

Tuesday's NHL player prop picks

There are three draws to this nod:

  • Pesce ranks fourth in attempts (40) and tied for sixth in shots (17) on the Hurricanes during the postseason.
  • The veteran blueliner has averaged the fourth-highest minutes per game (21:05) for the club during the playoffs.
  • The +100 odds available are far friendlier than the -110 number PointsBet is hanging, and more importantly the -114 thro ugh Pinnacle.

We're landing a good price on a player who logs meaningful minutes and has shown an uptick in shot volume during the playoffs. For reference, Pesce's 5.4 shots and 12.6 attempts per 60 minutes are above his 4.8 and 11.5 marks during the regular season.

+100 +100 +100 N/A -110 ??

I value the Pinnacle price (-114) and wouldn't be surprised if there's line movement ahead at our highlighted best sports betting sites. I wouldn't play this prop at anything lower than -105. The difference in the +100 odds and the -110 number through PointsBet is a sneaky positive expected value of 5%.

Tuesday's NHL game picks

Dallas hasn't lost consecutive games during the postseason, and netminder Jake Oettinger has turned away a combined 57 of 61 shots – .934 save percentage – following his past two losses.

The Stars have been the better five-on-five team with a 51.1 Corsi For percentage, 57.9 expected goals for percentage and have also generated 61.3 percent of the high-danger scoring chances. Add Seat tle sporting an unsustainably-high 14.3 team shooting percentage during the series, and the puck luck is set to flip in the Big D direction.

Additionally, Kraken tendy Philipp Grubauer is morphing back into his regular-season form with a ho-hum .898 save percentage through three games against the Stars. For comparison, he posted a .891 mark across 94 games over his first two seasons with Seattle.

DraftKings FanDuel BetMGM Caesars PointsBet
+115 +110 +120 ?? +107 ?? +110

We're landing an excellent price through BetMGM, too. The +120 odds offer a positive expected value of 6%, which is also the difference of $1.30 on a winning $10 ticket. I've graded this as a three-star bet instead of four because this is a three-way betting market, and Dallas winning in overtime would still be a loss.

Finally, I think Heiskanen will play Tuesday after leaving Game 3, but I doubt we find out his status until the pregame warmup.
