Dallas Stars vs. Seattle Kraken Prediction, Preview, and Odds – 5-9-2023

The Dallas Stars face the Seattle Kraken in Game Four of the Second Round with momentum swinging from game to game. The Stars took Game Two with a 4-2 win but lost the other two games and are trailing in the series. The Kraken won Game One in overtime and took Game Three 7-2 to take a 2-1 series lead. The Stars are looking to even up the series while the Kraken hope to take a commanding 3-1 series lead and Game Four should be a great one as a result.

The Stars are trailing in the series despite their offense stepping up and scoring 10 goals. Joe Pavelski, Jamie Benn, and Max Domi have scored five goals and seven assists to lead the top two lines but the rest of the offense has stepped up as well. Evgenii Dadonov, Tyler Seguin, and Mason Marchment have combined for three goals and three assists while defensemen Jani Hakanpaa and Thomas Harley have added a goal and three assists from the point to open up the offense.

The offense has been great but their defense has been awful, allowing 14 goals including seven in Game Three. Miro Heiskanen, Ryan Suter, and Jani Hakanpaa have led the top two pairings but the rest of the unit has struggled, allowing the Kraken to generate shots on the net with ease. Additionally, goaltender Jake Oettinger has been awful, allowing 12 goals on 88 shots.
