The Baltimore Orioles and Atlanta Braves will play Sunday at Truist Park. First pitch is at 11:35 a.m. ET.
Baltimore (22-10 SU and 20-12 RL) won game one 9-4, as Anthony Santander homered from both sides of the plate, with a go-ahead shot from the right side and a grand slam from the left. On Sunday, the Orioles will start righty Tyler Wells (2-1 with a 3.34 ERA in six appearances).
Atlanta (22-11 SU and 16-17 RL) gave up three long balls in the series-opening loss. The Braves are starting righty Bryce Elder (3-0 with a 1.75 ERA in six starts) tomorrow.
The home team is a -145 moneyline favorite and the game total is 9.5 runs scored.
Baltimore has all the swagger of a serious Wild Card contender, strutting its stuff in Atlanta on Friday with a five-run victory. Are the Orioles capable of replacing the Yankees in the division race for a playoff spot?
The O's score 5.62 runs per game (4th) and hit .261 (7th) with a .777 OPS (6th). They have hit 41 home runs (10th) and stolen 35 bags (4th) in 2023. The O's pitching staff has compiled a 4.55 ERA (20th) and a 1.34 WHIP (20th) with seven quality starts.

Wells takes the mound for Baltimore tomorrow in the series finale. The 28-year-old boasts a 27:6 K:BB ratio — and that's after he gave up a season-high three walks in his last outing vs. Kansas City. While he didn't have his best stuff in that game, surrendering four runs on three home runs in six innings, he did pick up the win. It was the first appearance this year he's given up more than three runs. Sunday's opponent, Atlanta, is hitting .243 with a .331 OBP against right-handers in 2023.
