The Boston Celtics took control of their series against the Philadelphia 76ers on Friday night, winning 114-102 to take a 2-1 series lead. The Boston Celtics took a 2-1 lead in their best of seven series against the Philadelphia 76ers on Friday night with a convincing 114-102 win in Philadelphia. The Celtics were in control most of the way, answering every Philadelphia run with a big hoop. Jayson Tatum made most of them, as he dropped 27 points and had 10 rebounds to lead the Celtics.

Coming off a 7 point performance in Game 2, Tatum was ready to go from the tip. Joel Embiid officially receiving his MVP award helped inspire him. “It just got me really ready to play,” Tatum said about watching Embiid get his MVP trophy, reported ESPN. “You could feel the energy from the crowd and the building. I'm happy for [Embiid]. He earned it, he deserved it, but I was just focused on trying to win tonight.” Jaylen Brown added 23 points and 7 rebounds while Al Horford poured in 17 points.
