Seattle Kraken vs. Colorado Avalanche Prediction, Preview, and Odds – 4-30-2023

The Seattle Kraken face the Colorado Avalanche in Game Seven of the First Round. The Kraken won three of the first five games but stumbled in Game Six and hope to rebound in the upcoming game. The Avalanche forced a Game Seven and look to win the upcoming game on their home ice to advance to the Second Round. With Game Seven being the winner-take-all game to decide the back-and-forth series, the upcoming game should be a great one.

The Kraken have pushed the heavily favored Avalanche to the brink despite their offense struggling in the series, scoring only 16 goals including only four goals in the last two games. Jaden Schwartz, Yanni Gourde, and Alex Wennberg have scored four goals and nine assists to lead the top two lines but the rest of the offense has struggled. The hope is that Vince Dunn can add a spark from the point as he scored 14 goals and 50 assists this season but only has one goal in the First Round.

The offense has struggled but the defense has kept them in the series, allowing only 18 goals in the series with only five goals in each of their wins in this series. Adam Larsson and Vince Dunn have led the top pairing while Jamie Oleksiak, Will Borgen, and the rest of the unit have also stepped up, creating turnovers in all three zones and limiting shots on the net. In addition, goaltender Philipp Grubauer has also stepped up, saving 181 of the 197 shots he's faced.
