Colorado Avalanche (51-24-7) vs. Seattle Kraken (46-28-8)

The 2023 Stanley Cup betting action goes on Friday, April 28, with the Colorado Avalanche facing off against the Seattle Kraken in Game 6 of the Western Conference first-round series, and the puck drop is set for 10:00 PM ET.

Seattle is one win away from the conference semifinals. The Kraken open as +130 home underdogs with a total of 5.5 goals, while the Avalanche are listed as -144 moneyline favorites.

After a 6-4 victory in Game 3 at Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle, the Colorado Avalanche have recorded two straight 3-2 defeats. Back in Game 4, the Avs erased a two-goal deficit just to see Seattle scores in overtime. Last Wednesday, Nathan MacKinnon and Evan Rodrigues scored for Colorado, but the Avs couldn’t overcome a 3-1 deficit in the third period.

In each of their previous three losses to Seattle, Colorado has allowed exactly three goals. Hereof, the Avalanche desperately need more from their offense which hasn’t hit a 30-shot mark in the last two outings. In that 6-4 win in Game 3, the Avs outshot the Kraken 34-29.

The Avs were scoring 3.34 goals per game this past regular season (tied-10th in the NHL) while boasting the sixth-best power-play percentage (24.5%). They were yielding just 2.72 goals in return (9th). Alexandar Georgiev has guarded the cage so far this series, posting a 3.03 GAA and .906 save percentage. He was 40-16-6 with a 2.53 GAA and .919 SV% last regular season.
