The Reds dropped to 7-12 on the year and entered Friday in the basement of the NL Central, seven games behind the Brewers for the top spot in the division. On Thursday night, Cincinnati fell behind 4-0 after one inning and their best efforts to get back in the game fell short. The Reds finished the game with eight hits with Jonathan India (run, RBI) leading the way with three in the contest. Luke Weaver (0-1) took the loss on the mound as he allowed four runs on four hits with two walks and eight strikeouts over six innings of work.
Luis Cessa is slated to toe the slab for the Reds as he makes his fourth start of the season in this contest.
