The bullpen gave up one unearned run in three innings, as the relief corps continues to be solid for the team, posting a 3.86 ERA and a 1.19 WHIP. That includes a 2.45 ERA over the last five. It is starting group who have struggled, posting a 4.95 ERA this season, but Trevor Williams has been one of the exceptions. The right-hander is 1-1 with a 3.52 ERA in three starts. He gave up one run on four hits in his last outing (April 14).

Washington produced six hits in the loss, striking out 11 times. The offense for this group has been terrible, as they are 27th in OPS (.650), and have hit the fewest homeruns in baseball (8). The Nationals have scored 62 runs, the fourth fewest, and they are averaging just 2.86 runs per game over their last five contests.
