The Seattle Kraken face the Colorado Avalanche in Game Two after a shocking Game One result. The Kraken who entered the series as a wild card team stepped up and took Game One with a 3-1 win. The Avalanche meanwhile are looking to repeat as Stanley Cup champions but lost Game One on their home ice and look to avoid falling behind two games in the series. The Kraken can take a 2-0 series lead with a win while the Avalanche are looking to even up the series and Game Two looks to be a great one.

The Kraken pulled off the biggest upset of the First Round with their offense stepping up and scoring three goals in Game One. Morgan Geekie and Alexander Wennberg scored two goals and an assist to lead the top two lines but the rest of the offense stepped up as well. Eeli Tolvanen and Jared Schwartz combined for a goal and an assist while defensemen Justin Schultz and Jamie Oleksiak added two assists from the blue line to help open up the offense.

The offense stepped up but the defense carried the Kraken in Game One, allowing only one goal in the win. Adam Larsson and Vince Dunn led the top pairing with 53:51 combined ice time and seven blocked shots while Justin Schultz, Jamie Oleksiak, and Carson Soucy also stepped up, creating turnovers in the defensive zone and limiting shots on the net. In addition, goaltender Philipp Grubauer had a great Game One, saving 34 of the 35 shots he faced.
