The New York Rangers face the New Jersey Devils in Game Two of the First Round series after a surprising Game One. The Rangers took Game One in a dominant 5-1 victory and can head back to their home ice with a commanding series lead. The Devils were stunned in Game One by the lopsided defeat and look to bounce back to even up the series. Both teams look to win the pivotal Game Two of the series and the upcoming game looks to be a great one.

The Rangers looked incredible on both ends of the ice with their offense stepping up and overwhelming the Devils, scoring five goals in the lopsided victory. Chris Kreider, Artemi Panarin, and Vladimir Tarasenko scored three goals and two assists to lead the top line but the entire offense stepped up. Filip Chytil, Patrick Kane, and Kaapo Kakko combined for a goal and three assists while defensemen Adam Fox and Ryan Lindgren added a goal and four assists from the point to open up the offense.

The offense led the Rangers in Game One but the defense also stepped up, allowing only one goal in the game. Fox and Lindgren led the top pairing with a combined 39:52 ice time and seven blocked shots but the rest of the unit also stepped up with K'Andre Miller, Jacob Trouba, and Braden Schneider creating turnovers in the neutral zone and defensive zone while limiting shots on the net. Additionally, goalten der Igor Shesterkin was great saving 27 of the 28 shots and only allowing one goal on a penalty shot.
