The New York Mets rolled into Los Angeles on Monday night following a sweep of the Oakland A's on the road. The Mets are playing their best baseball of the season and have been led by slugger Pete Alonso, who leads the majors with eight home runs including a game-tying blast on Sunday in the ninth to keep the Mets alive. New York has reeled off seven wins in nine games heading into the series opener with the Dodgers.

The Mets will send righty Tylor Megill to the mound on Tuesday in search of his fourth straight win to begin the season. Megill has thrown 16 innings, allowed 12 hits and just four runs in his three starts thus far. He has struck out 13 while walking seven in that time. Megill was 3-1 on the road last year with a 5.84 ERA in nine road appearances, five of them starts. He gave up 29 hits in 24.2 innings pitched away from home while giving up five home runs.

Key Injuries: RP Stephen Nogosek and C Omar Narvaez are out.
