The Milwaukee Brewers defeated the San Diego Padres on Sunday, 1-0, winning three of the four contests in San Diego. This came after the team had lost two of three in Arizona earlier in the week as the club is now in first place in the NL Central and is 6-4 on the road.
Milwaukee has given up three or fewer runs in six of their last eight games, but did give up 10 to San Diego on Saturday and seven to Arizona on Wednesday. However, they are third in team ERA (2.94) and fourth in WHIP (1.19). The bullpen has been spectacular this season, posting a 2.26 ERA, the best in baseball. That is good news for Colin Rea, who was brilliant in his first start of the season, allowing one run in 5.2 innings to San Diego on April 13.
