Milwaukee Brewers (11-5) vs. Seattle Mariners (8-8)

The 2023 Major League Baseball Season is opening up the fourth week of the 2023 season as the Milwaukee Brewers take on the Seattle Mariners in this interleague clash on Monday, August 17, 2023, at the T-Mobile Park in Seattle, Washington. Milwaukee enters as the favorite (-145) with the total set at 7.5.

These teams have not squared off since 2019 when the Mariners took two of three in Milwaukee. These teams have split the last 10 contests dating back to 2010.

The Milwaukee Brewers shutout the San Diego Padres on Sunday, 1-0. That allowed Milwaukee to take three of the four games in San Diego. Milwaukee is the top team in the NL Central and is 6-4 on the road this season.

Wade Miley was fantastic, tossing seven shutout innings, and two relievers each tossed a scoreless frame to finish off the shutout. Starting pitching has been spectacular for the Brewers this season, as they are fifth with a 3.43 ERA, but the bullpen has been the star for this club, as they have a 2.26 ERA, tops in baseball. Corbin Burnes has struggled out of the gate, going 1-1 with a 5.19 ERA. He did toss eight shutout innings in his last start. This comes after he gave up 10 total runs in his first 9.1 innings.
