St. Louis Blues vs. Dallas Stars Prediction, Preview, and Odds – 4-13-2023

The St. Louis Blues wrap up the season against the Dallas Stars with both teams on opposite ends of the Western Conference to wrap up the season. The Blues have a 37-36-7 record and will miss the playoffs while the Dallas Stars have a 45-21-14 record and are fighting for playoff position in the Central Divison. The Blues are looking to end a rough season with a win while the Stars look to head into the strong, making the upcoming game a pivotal one for both teams.

The Blues are concluding a difficult season but their offense has been the one bright spot, scoring 3.23 goals per game. Jordan Kyrou and Pavel Buchnevich have scored 63 goals and 76 assists to lead the top line but the entire offense has been great this year. Brayden Schenn, Robert Thomas, and Brandon Saad have combined for 57 goals and 108 assists while defenseman Justin Faulk has added 11 goals and 38 assists from the point to help open up the offense.

The offense has been great but the defense let the blues down this year, allowing 3.65 goals per game including 3.75 goals per game since March. Justin Faulk and Nick Leddy have combined for 5.9 defensive point shares but the rest of the unit has struggled, allowing opponents to find open shots on the net at will. Additionally, goaltender Jordan Binnington has been awful with a .8 92 save percentage and a 3.35 goals-against average on 1792 shots with -21.5 goals saved above average.
