Shaq Lawson Tweets Reaction to New Bills Contract

The Buffalo Bills have managed to bring back several players from the team's 2022 roster in free agency. They added another one to the list on Monday, as it was revealed veteran Shaq Lawson would be returning on a one-year deal.

It's safe to say the experienced pass rusher is happy about a nother stint in Buffalo.

Lawson tweeted out "glad to be home" following news of his deal with the Bills. Considering how he's played five of his seven NFL seasons in Buffalo, it's no surprise he sees it as "home."

The 28-year-old originally entered the league as the No. 19 overall pick by the Bills in 2016 draft. He recorded 16.5 sacks, 25 tackles for loss and five forced fumbles across four years before moving on to one-year stints with the Miami Dolphins and New York Jets.

Lawson finally returned this past season and enjoyed a mini-resurgence after a down 2021 campaign. He posted 3.5 sacks, 6 TFL and a forced fumble in 15 games.

It's great to see the veteran harboring no hard feelings about going unsigned for so long. Now he'll look to ride his positive momentum toward an even better 2023 season.
