Chicago Bulls vs. Dallas Mavericks Prediction, Preview, and Odds – 4-7-2023

With the season possibly on the line, the Dallas Mavericks (38-42) will host the Chicago Bulls (38-42). The Bulls beat the Mavericks 144-115 as a five-point favorite on December 10.

The Chicago Bulls are locked to the 10th spot in the Eastern Conference and will be in the Play-in Tournament to face either the Atlanta Hawks or Toronto Raptors. The Bulls are on a two-game losing streak after dropping games against Atlanta 123-105 and Milwaukee 105-92 on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Chicago is 38-39-3 against the spread this season and 17-20-2 on the road. The Bulls are 21st in the NBA averaging 113.2 ppg, and 13th with a 55.1 effective field goal percentage. Zach LaVine (24.9 ppg) and DeMar DeRozan (24.7 ppg) are the scoring leaders, followed by Nikola Vucevic with 17.7 ppg and a team-best 11.1 rebounds. Chicago is seventh in scoring defense holding teams to 112.2 ppg.

I will not be surprised if the Bulls rest most of their key players Friday with the game not meaning much for them. As of late Thursday night LaVine, DeRozan, and Alex Caruso are all questionable against the Mavericks. If you are into player props, Patrick Williams who has averaged 10.1 ppg in 80 games this season could see a jump in production, as he has not taken a rest day all season.
