Today’s MLB Home Run Prop Bets For April 4

WagerTalk content contributor Kyle Kargel provides his daily home run prop picks and predictions for Tuesday, April 4 with odds provided by FanDuel. Fenway Park has given up the most home runs so far this season with 18.

Home Run Prop Prediction 1: C.J. Cron (+550)

C.J. Cron is off to another blistering April start clobbering three home runs already and hitting .368 overall.

He and the Rockies get Julio Urias tonight in which Cron actually has solid splits against. In his career Cron is 7-24 against Urias with two home runs. He racked up 29 home runs last year and looks well on his way to that mark again this season.

Speaking of last season, Urias gave up a home run every 7.5 innings pitched and he didn't give up one in his first start against Arizona going six innings so he should be due to give up a long ball in this one.

Get Cron at +550 but other Rockies hitters to consider are David Peralta (+600) and J.D. Martinez (+650).

Home Run Prop Prediction 2: Alex Bregman (+400)

Tigers starting pitcher tonight Matt Manning has given up a home run once every nine innings pitched and the Astros should be out for blood after dropping a very winnable game last night.

Manning has never faced the Astors in his short career but last season produced a 4.94 ERA on the road with a .293 opponent batting average.

This looks like a good spot for Alex Bregman to hit his first home run of the season after hitting 23 a season ago. Last April he hit four home runs which was tied for second most of any month by him.

At home last season he hit .305 with 16 home runs compared to hitting just .215 with seven home runs on the road. Get Bregman at +400 with Yordan Alvarez (+275) and Jeremy Pena (+475) having a shot to hit a home run as well.
