We had a rather calm beginning to the week with just 3 games on the ice last night. Things ramp up in a big way with 11 games tonight. This is truly the home stretch of the season, and there's still plenty left to be decided. The Eastern Conference still has seeding to be decided and Wild Card spots up for grabs, while the Western Conference is even more uncertain. Despite just 6 teams in action last night, there are still some squads on the 2nd leg of a back-to- back. We're using that to our advantage for tonight's NHL mega parlay along with 2 of the early games, so let's get right into it.
Along with our NHL mega parlay, be sure to check out all of our NHL picks for today's action.
New Jersey Devils -1.5 (+158) over Pittsburgh Penguins
Let's get our NHL mega parlay started with a Metro Division rivalry. That hasn't been the case in recent seasons, but the Devils continue to be one of the most positive surprise stories of the season. They've had their playoff spot clinched, but they still want that division title. Their quest to surpass the Carolina Hurricanes starts with a win over the Penguins tonight. Unlike New Jersey, Pittsburgh is still fighting for their chance to be in the playoffs at all.'
Along with the New York Islanders and Florida Panthers, the Pens are battling for an Eastern Conference Wild Card spot. Unfortunately for them, the Devils have played a part in their record not being as good as it could be. Jack Hughes and company are 3-0 against Sidney Crosby and the boys. Two of those 3 victories came by multiple goals, including the most recent matchup. That was a convincing 5-2 Devils win, and that was before they acquired Timo Meier from the San Jose Sharks at the trade deadline. With even more depth on their roster, they should be able to complete the season series sweep.
