Today’s MLB Home Run Prop Bets For April 3

WagerTalk content contributor Kyle Kargel provides his daily home run prop picks and predictions for Monday, April 3 with odds provided by PointsBet. The Yankees, Orioles and Dodgers lead the MLB in team home runs so far this season with seven a piece.

Home Run Prop Prediction 1: Jose Abreu (+425)

Jose Abreu has yet to hit a home run this season but he is putting the ball in play with a .375 average on the season so far.

The Astros kick off a 3-game series against the Tigers who just got swept by Tampa Bay. Matthew Boyd makes his return to the Tigers after a 1-year stint in Seattle who Abreu is quite familiar with during both players' time in the AL Central.

Abreu is 14-36 all-time against Boyd with two home runs and hits a home run against left handed pitching once every 19 at-bats against lefties since 2021 compared to once every 35 at-bats against righties. Other Astros hitters to consider are Jeremy Pena (+425) and Alex Bregman (+475).

Home Run Prop Prediction 2: Rafael Devers (+425)

It's only a matter of time before Rafael Devers notches his first home run of the season. So, why not tonight at home against the Pirates who are starting Johan Oviedo.

He's allowed one home run every nine innings pitched in his career but he only allowed one during his last five starts with the Pirates last season.

Last season Devers hit .323 at Fenway Park compared to .272 on the road racking up 27 home runs in total.

Also note he accumulated a home run once every 17 at-bats against righties and once every 38 at-bats against lefties last season with Oviedo being a right handed pitcher. Other Red Sox hitters to consider are Adam Duvall (+475) and Justin Turner (+550).
