The Miami Hurricanes roll into the Final Four for the first time in school history after an impressive showing in the Midwest Region, knocking off one power after the other. The Hurricanes survived a scare in the first round and got past Drake in easily the team's worst statistical performance of the tournament. Since then, in order, the Hurricanes knocked off Indiana, then #1 seed Houston and, finally, the second-seeded Texas Longhorns to claim the region. Miami took down Texas after trailing throughout the game before dominating the second half to earn the school's first-ever regional title. A year after falling to another Big 12 team, last year's eventual National Champion Kansas, the Hurricanes took down the Longhorns thanks, in part, to one player who didn't forget the feeling of losing from last season. Jordan Miller became the first player to put together a perfect offensive shooting performance since 1992 with 27 poi nts on 7-of-7 shooting from the field and 13-of-13 from the foul line. Isaiah Wong also scored 12 of his 14 points in the second half as Miami overcame a 13-point second half deficit to pick up the win.
“That loss sat with me for a really long time,” the Hurricanes' Miller said. “It doesn't go away, and the fact that we had the opportunity to come back and make amends, make it right, that’s what was pushing me.”

Miami dances into the Final Four with an offense that has been clicking on all cylinders since shooting just 30% against Drake in the opening round. The Hurricanes have not shot less than 48.5% since then, averaging 81.2 points per game in the tournament and shooting 47% overall. Led by a dynamic backcourt featuring Wong and Nigel Pack, the Hurricanes are also shooting 35% from 3pt range. They are, however, only making seven per contest in the four tournament wins. On the defensive end, the Hurricanes are holding the opposition to 42% shooting and just over 70 points per game. Opponents are hitting 8.5 3pt shots per game while shooting the long ball at a 32.5% clip. The Hurricanes hold a +15 rebounding edge, led by Norchad Omier and his nearly 14 rebounds per game in the tournament. The Hurricanes also have a +6 turnover margin in the tournament.
