Denver Nuggets (51-24) vs. Phoenix Suns (41-35)

The NBA betting action goes on with a loaded 13-game Friday card, so we are taking a closer look at the marquee Western Conference showdown from Footprint Center in Phoenix, Arizona, to get you the best Nuggets vs. Suns betting pick.

Denver and Phoenix lock horns for the third time this season, and the Nuggets aim for their third straight victory over the Suns. Back in December, Denver outlasted Phoenix 128-125 as a 4-point home fave, while on January 11, the Nuggets trounced the shorthanded Suns 126-97 as 14.5-point home favorites.

Thursday’s games have been excluded from the analysis, and the 51-24 Denver Nuggets hosted the New Orleans Pelicans, searching for their fifth consecutive victory. Over their previous four showings, the Nuggets have beaten the Brooklyn Nets 108-102, Washington Wizards 118-104, Milwaukee Bucks 129-106, and Philadelphia 76ers 116-111.

Last Monday, Nikola Jokic posted a triple-double of 25 points, 17 rebounds, and 12 assists to lift his team over the 76ers, who missed both Joel Embiid and James Harden. The Nuggets shot 50.6% from the field and posted a terrific 34/12 assist-to-turnover ratio.

”This should have been a 20-point win,” Nuggets guard Bruce Brown said. “We just took ou r foot off the gas.”

The Nuggets are topping the Western Conference. They were three and a half games ahead of the Memphis Grizzlies and five and a half games above the Sacramento Kings. The Nuggets tally 118.5 points per 100 possessions (2nd in the NBA) and allow 114.3 points in return (tied-14th).
