New Orleans Pelicans +7 Point Spread (-110)
New Orleans just had a 5-game win streak snapped against the Golden State Warriors at Chase Center a couple of days ago. It was a frustrating defeat , they led by as many as 22 points, but were outscored by 28 points over the final 24 minuets of play. The oddsmakers aren't giving them much of a chance tonight, the spread has been set at 7-points which is a bit too high in my opinion. The regular season series stands at 2-1 to Denver right now, the Nuggets are pretty much safe in the 1st seed with a 3.5 game lead so there's not that much pressure on them to win here. Meanwhile, the Pels are still fighting to finish in the play-in tournament and following the Mavericks' loss last night a win here would be huge for them. Over the last 8 meetings at Ball Arena, the Pelicans have managed to cover the spread 6 times which is also very encouraging. I think it'll be a close game, Denver can win by 6 points here and the Pelicans still cover, so let's back them plus the extra points.
