The most me morable contest of the night was Michigan State vs. Kansas State. This game was tight throughout, and overtime was needed after an intense regulation period saw these teams squared up at 82 apiece. The Wildcats emerged victorious in overtime, winning 98-93 over Tom Izzo's Spartans.

College basketball fans were treated to a big upset in one of the late-night games. Nine-seed Florida Atlantic shocked the country by taking down 4-seed Tennessee 62-55, clinching the school's first-ever Elite Eight appearance.
