Dallas Stars vs. Vancouver Canucks Prediction, Preview, and Odds – 3-14-2023

The Dallas Stars face the Vancouver Canucks with both teams on opposite ends of the standings. The Stars have a 36-17-13 record and are in first place in the Central Division while the Canucks have a 28-32-5 record but have won four games in a row. The Stars look to secure the best record in the division while the Canucks are hoping to continue to make a late-season push and the upcoming game looks to be a good one.

The Stars are having a great season with their offense stepping up and scoring 3.42 goals per game. Jason Robertson and Roope Hintz have scored 70 goals and 75 assists to lead the top line but the rest of the offense has stepped up as well. Jamie Benn, Joe Pavelski, and Tyler Seguin have combined for 61 goals and 100 assists while defensemen Miro Heiskanen and Esa Lindell have added 17 goals and 54 assists from the point to open up the offense.

The offense has been great but the defense has also stepped up, allowing only 2.65 goals per game. Esa Lindell and Jani Hakanpaa have combined for 9.1 defensive point shares and 237 blocked shots while Miro Heiskanen and Colin Miller have combined for 7.7 defensive point shares to add depth to the unit. The hope is that goaltender Matt Murray can build off a strong start as he allowed only two goals on 21 shots in his last start.
