The first semifinal in the SEC Tournament on Saturday will pit the fourth-seeded Missouri Tigers taking on the first-seeded Alabama Crimson Tide. Missouri reached the semifinals after a win over fifth-seeded Tennessee on Friday afternoon. Meanwhile, Alabama arrives here after easily handling Mississippi State on Friday afternoon. Trailing by three points at halftime, the Missouri Tigers regrouped in the second half and rolled to a 79-71 win over fifth-seeded Tennessee on Friday afternoon. Missouri dissected the vaunted Tennessee defense for 79 points and shot 53% from the field overall. The Tigers shot 39% from 3pt range as well and committed only 11 turnovers in the game despite the constant pressure from Tennessee. D'moi Hodge led Missouri with 26 points, including 4-of-9 from 3pt range. Kobe Brown chipped in with 24 points, including 3-of-6 from 3pt range. Brown also had a team-high nine rebounds in the game.

Missouri and Alabama met just once this season, with Alabama winning 85-64 at Missouri. The high-powered Missouri offense, ranked first in the SEC in scoring and field goal percentage, was held to just 33% shooting in the game and 11% from 3pt range. Missouri's bench did play well, outscoring the Crimson Tide bench 45-26. The Tigers were led by Isiaih Mosely who had 19 points in the loss. Missouri's finished 14th in the SEC in total rebounding and will be tasked with keeping the Crimson Tide off the glass.
