MLB Tuesday mega parlay (+1052 odds) today 8/23

With National League Central rivals St. Louis and Chicago playing a double-header, we have a more than full 16-game slate in Major League Baseball on Tuesday. The schedule is headlined by the conclusion of a quick Subway Series between the Mets and Yankees, who are squaring off at 7:05 pm ET on TBS. Things are wrapping up at 10:10 pm ET on ESPN+ with a potential playoff preview featuring the Brewers and Dodgers.

Let's take a look at the three components of this parlay.

For this parlay we are going with three favorites on the run line. Let's break down each of the three legs one by one.

Phillies -1.5 over Reds (+100)

This a rematch – not only the teams but also the pitchers – from last week. Nick Lodolo of the Reds and Ranger Suarez of the Phillies battled in an impressive pitching duel that Cincinnati won 1-0. Nonetheless, Philadelphia is an overwhelming favorite to get revenge. That doesn't give the Phillies much value on the money line, but the -1.5 run line is an intriguing play. It's a line they should be able to cover, too. Lodolo boasts a 2.93 home ERA in his rookie campaign, but on the road his ERA is a disastrous 8.49. In other words, don't expect him to replicate last week's performance. Meanwhile, Suarez is sporting a 1.19 ERA and 0.92 WHIP in the second half of the season. Philly should win…and big.
