The week three NFL preseason schedule will kickoff with a matchup between the Green Bay Packers and the Kansas City Chiefs from GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium. The Packers ran around with the NFC North Division title last year and lost All-Pro WR Davante Adams to Las Vegas in the offseason. On Saturday, Green Bay shutout visiting New Orleans during the second half of a 20-10 victory.
Green Bay Jordan Love completed 12 of 24 passes for 113 yards and a four-yard touchdown pass to rookie WR Romeo Doubs. Danny Etling sealed the game in the fourth quarter with a 51-yard touchdown run.
The Kansas City Chiefs enter the 2022 campaign with something to prove after falling to Cincinnati in the AFC Championship Game. The offense lost their home run threat WR Tyreek Hill to Miami in the offseason, but should still hum with QB Patrick Mahomes at the controls. On Saturday, Kansas City did not turn the ball over during a 24-14 home victory versus Washington.
Mahomes needed just a little more than one quarter of action to lead Kansas City with 162 yards passing and two scores. Second year TE Jody Fortson was on the receiving end of both touchdowns for the Chiefs.
