It’s the opening day of the Pac-12 Tournament with a first-round matchup on the hardwood in the city that never sleeps. The 10th-seeded Stanford Cardinal are the “road” team as they take on the seventh-seeded Utah Utes in an effort to reach the quarterfinals Wednesday night. Stanford dropped their regular season finale as they fell 73-68 on the road to Oregon, though they did cover as a seven-point favorite. Utah continued their late season stumble as they were defeated 69-60 on the road by Colorado in their previous game Saturday, failing to cover as a 3.5-point underdog. In the all-time series between the teams, the Utes own a 21-13 advantage though the Cardinal took a 78-72 road win in the most recent matchup on February 2.
