The Flames have a 27-23-13 record and with only two wins in their last 10 games, they have fallen out of playoff position in the Western Conference. The Stars have a 34-16-13 record and with a three-game winning streak, they have leaped into first place in the Central Division. Both teams look to continue to play well in the Western Conference and the upcoming game should be a good one.

The Flames are having a strong season with their offense leading the way, scoring 3.06 goals per game. Elias Lindholm, Tyler Toffoli, and Nazem Kadri have scored 63 goals and 86 assists to lead the top two lines but the rest of the offense has also stepped up. Mikael Backlund, Jonathan Huberdeau, and Dillon Dube have combined for 43 goals and 76 assists while defenseman Rasmus Andersson has added seven goals and 31 assists from the point to help open up the offense.

The offense has been great but the defense has struggled, allowing 3.06 goals per game with 17 goals in the last five games.
