Having pocketed a season-high five victories in succession, the Ottawa Senators (5th in Atlantic Division) will try to add to their recent success while paying a visit to the Chicago Blackhawks (8th in Central), who are riding a four-game losing skid.

The Ottawa Senators (32-26-4) banked their season-high fifth straight victory to position themselves just three points off the 2nd Wild Card of the Eastern Conference after snatching a 5-2 triumph against the Columbus Blue Jackets at Canadian Tire Centre on Saturday. Tim Stutzle (31 goals, 66 points this year) picked up two markers, including a shorty, while defenseman Jakob Chychrun (8 goals, 30 points) scored and assisted on his home debut for Ottawa after joining his new team in a trade with the Arizona Coyotes on March 1. Travis Hamonic (5 goals, 14 points) also netted twice for the Sens, who are 12-3-1 in their past 16 matchups.

Goalie Cam Talbot made 19 saves on Saturday and has now gone 15-14-1 for the current campaign with a 2.85 GAA and a .905 save percentage. He has registered a 9-7-1 career record versus Chicago with a 2 .18 GAA and a .930 save percentage, while Mads Sogaard (4-0-1 on the season with a 2.33 GAA and a .922 save percentage) is 0-0-1 against the Blackhawks historically with a 3.83 GAA and a .875 save percentage. The Senators, meanwhile, are sitting 15th in most goals scored per game this year (3.18), 16th in least goals allowed on average (3.11) and 6th in both power play (24.9%) and penalty kill (82.7%).
