Notre Dame Fighting Irish (11-19) vs. Clemson Tigers (21-9)

The Atlantic Coast Conference regular season closes down Saturday, March 4, with the Notre Dame Fighting Irish taking on the Clemson Tigers at Littlejohn Coliseum in Clemson, South Carolina. 

The Fighting Irish and Tigers lock horns for the first time in 2022-23, and Notre Dame aims for its fourth straight victory over Clemson. The Tigers open as 9-point home favorites, while the totals are listed at 143.5 points. 

The Notre Dame Fighting Irish are coming off Wednesday’s 88-81 home victory over No. 25 Pittsburgh. They upset the Panthers as 3-point home underdogs to stop a seven-game losing streak. The Fighting Irish built a 14-point halftime lead and never looked back, making 49.1% of their field goals. 

Senior guards Marcus Hammond and Cormac Ryan led the way for Notre Dame last Wednesday, accounting for 20 points apiece, while senior forward Nate Laszewski had 14 points, eight rebounds, and three blocks. Laszewski has been a key guy for the Fighting Irish so far this season, averaging 14.1 points and 7.2 rebounds. 

Notre Dame is No. 180 in the NCAA NET Rankings and No. 165 in the KenPom rankings. Per KenPom, the Fighting Irish rank 96th in adjusted offensive efficiency (109.9 points per 100 possessions) and 256th in adjusted defensive efficiency (109.4). When it comes to ACC play, Notre Dame scores just 69.2 points per game (11th) on 43.4% shooting from the field (also 11th) while yielding 74.0 points in return (also 11th) on 46.0% shooting from the field (10th).
