No. 2 Alabama will be looking to put the finishing touches on an incredible regular season when it travels to No. 24 Texas A&M on Saturday afternoon. The Crimson Tide clinched the SEC regular-season title with a 90-85 win over Auburn in overtime on Wednesday night. Texas A&M ultimately fell out of the title race due to its loss at Mississippi State last Saturday, but it has already clinched the No. 2 seed in the SEC.
Alabama has locked up the SEC regular-season title and appears destined for a No. 1 seed in the NCAA Tournament later this month, but it can improve its case for the top overall seed in the Big Dance with a road win on Saturday afternoon. Three of the Crimson Tide’s four losses this season have come against ranked opponents, including a loss at then-No. 10 Tennessee in mid-February. They have responded with a four-game winning streak since then, ultimately getting past Auburn in overtime on Wednesday to clinch the league title. Auburn led by 17 points in the second half, but Alabama used a 16-0 run to get back in the game.

Jahvon Quinerly poured in 24 points for Alabama in Wednesday’s win, as the Crimson Tide won the regular-season title for the second time in three years. They have been having some issues from the perimeter of late though, knocking down just 11 of 53 (20.8%) from 3-point range over the past two games. Their offense has been great overall this season, ranked No. 19 in KenPom’s adjusted efficiency ratings. Alabama is shooting 54.7% from inside the arc and has a high offensive rebounding percentage. It is facing a Texas A&M defense that struggles on the glass, but the Aggies are No. 45 in overall defensive efficiency. Star freshman Brandon Miller leads Alabama with 19.6 points and 8.0 rebounds per game.
