The Citadel Bulldogs and Mercer Bears face off on Friday in a college basketball showdown in the Southern Conference Tournament at the U.S. Cellular Center. When these two teams faced off on February 25th it was Mercer that secured the 72-50 victory. 

The Citadel comes into this game with a 10-21 record overall and they have gone 12-16-2 against the spread. The Citadel is averaging 68.3 points while their defense is giving up 74.5 points per game. Stephen Clark is averaging 16.6 points while shooting 50.6 percent from the field and 24.4 percent from behind the three point line. 

On the other side of this matchup is Mercer who sits with a 13-18 record overall and they have gone 12-16-1 against the spread. The defense was strong in that last game against Citadel, and they need that defense to be strong again here. Mercer is averaging 69.2 points while their defense is giving up 67.6 points per game. Jalyn McCreary is averaging 15.2 points while shooting 55.2 percent from the field. Kamar Robertson is averaging 10.9 points while shooting 45.2 percent from the field and 41 percent from behind the three point line.
