The fifth-seeded Oakland Golden Grizzlies will travel to Truist Arena on Thursday evening in the quarterfinals of the Barbasol Horizon League Championship against the fourth-seeded Northern Kentucky Norse. The Golden Grizzlies are 13-18 (11-9) so far this season and the Norse are 19-12 (14-6) right now. These teams played on Saturday with the Norse taking a 78-69 road win. The winner of this game will face off against the winner of the Cleveland State and highest remaining seed from the first round in the semifinals of the tournament. 

The Oakland Golden Grizzlies have been disappointing during the regular season and are coming off a 78-69 home loss against the Northern Kentucky Norse. They did well in the opening half as they outscored the Norse 38-29. They shot the ball at a decent level from three as they were 21-of-48 (43.8 percent) overall, 5-of-16 (31.3 percent) from three, and 24 free-throw attempts. Senior guard Jalen Moore led the team as in 40 minutes he finished with 27 points, two rebounds, one assist, four steals, and three turnovers. Defensively, they were brutal as they allowed 49.1.4 percent from the floor and 57.7 percent from deep here. The Golden Grizzlies did incredibly well as they finished with eight steals and two blocks throughout the game after forcing 19 turnovers. 3
