The Notre Dame Fighting Irish (10-19, 9-20-0 ATS, 2-16 ACC) will have their senior night against a ranked Pittsburgh Panthers (21-8, 20-8-1 ATS, 14-4 ACC) team that just had theirs. These teams haven't played yet this season, so the most recent meeting was a Notre Dame win last March in South Bend. It was the fourth straight time the Fighting Irish took down the Panthers. They can make it five in a row in Purcell Pavilion Wednesday night, as this game is also in South Bend. Tipoff is slated for 7:00 p.m. EST.

The #25 Pitt Panthers are 14-4 in ACC play, a game up on three teams in the loss column, meaning they're alone at the top and control their own destiny. A win in this game guarantees at least a share of the title while winning out gives them an outright ACC regular season championship. KenPom doesn't have them rated as highly as the AP polls, only placing them 54th, but regardless a spot in the Big Dance seems secure for the Panthers.

Their senior night and final home game was on Saturday, and Pitt breezed by Syracuse 99-82. The Panthers took a four-point lead into halftime and never relinquished the lead in the second half. All five starters finished in double figures, Blake Hinson had 22 off the bench, and senior forward Aidan Fisch got to punctuate the night with an electrifying layup in the closing seconds.

If you're looking for a source for Pitt's unexpected run atop the ACC this season, the offense is a nice place to start. The Panthers put up 75.8 points a night despite playing at a slower tempo. They shoot 45.0% from the floor and 35.9% from beyond the arc. Pitt gets to the free-throw line 17.9 times per contest and hits 77.1% of them.

Don't sleep on their defense though. They hold teams to 68.4 points per game on a 41.5% field goal percentage. They're just as stingy from beyond the arc, limiting opponents to 32.7% on three-pointers. The Panthers block 4.3 shots per game and usually win the rebounding battle, with an average margin of +3.3.
