The New Jersey Devils face the Colorado Avalanche with both teams looking to build off of great seasons. The offense has been great but the defense has also stepped up, allowing only 2.63 goals per game with only three goals in the last two games. Ryan Graves and Jonas Seigenthaler have combined for 8.6 defensive point shares and 221 blocked shots while Dougie Hamilton, Damon Severson, and John Marino have combined for 9.2 defensive point shares to add depth to the unit. In addition, goaltender Vit ek Vanecek has stepped up with a .913 save percentage and a 2.37 goals-against average on 968 shots with 7.7 goals saved above average.
